The Clarion is a publication of the Command and Staff College, Tanzania. It provides a forum for the expression of thought on Defence, Security, doctrinal and conceptual issues and other matters of professional importance, or those related to National and International Security. It is published once a year.

Articles are invited from all officers of the Tanzania Peoples Defence Forces, Student Officers and from other interested parties having special knowledge and interest in military affairs or in matters of national security. They must be original and should neither have been published in any other magazine, national or international, nor should they be offered to any other agency pending acceptance or once accepted by The Clarion.
